1-What do you think about the reggae/dancehall sound in Sweden? And the actual reggae/dancehall sound in Europe? The dancehall sound in Sweden is top notch. We have great porudcers such as Partillo, Mastah L and Adde Instrumentals who deliver reggae and dancehall vybz with heart and perfection. Europe has definitly a sighnificant way of producing and making music, with influenses both from the genre and western music. Reggae/dancehall music is evolutional and as a European I’m proud to be part of the culture.
2-What changes you see in the actual music about the digital media and the liberation of tracks via internet? What do you think about Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Ustream and other free media devices? What do you think about Megaupload and S.O.P.A / P.I.P.A.? The biggest change now that digitalmedia has taken over is the recordsails, wich has decreased. You don’t make any money of your album, might get a little change off of itunes and spotify but it’s not enough money for suviving purposes. But what I like with it is that music is more lead by the people than Music Lables, people get a chance to show themselves and challenge the music industry more from a ground level. you can spread your music on a whole different level. The musicindustry is changing but this is not the final state, it will allways keep changing. 3-Can you tell us about your experience in KEEP IT REAL JAM, your last show? I love going to Germany, this was my first time at “Keep it real jam”. The crowd was fantastic and so was the crew working for this festival. They took care of me well, and that’s always important to me. I played with a upcomming backing band called “Boomrush”, for the first time and that was exciting as well. “Keep it real jam” is a great festival!
4-How began the friendship with Gentleman? And the connection with Konshens, J Boog and Luciano? Can you tell us about the story behind recording the new video SAME THING A GWAAN? I wish I could, I’ve never met them, but I do appreciate their music. The video was recorded mostly round Kingston Jamaica, It was a spontanius video with ordinary people hanging out, who we met along the way. It’s was inspiring workin g with “Rough Lynx production” and also my first video. For me is a blessing, being able to go to Jamaica and record this video, wid did three actualy, so still more to come.
5- Can you tell us about your new album? Maybe a 2012 tour in Argentina? At the moment I’m releasing singles and Eps but I’m looking foward to an album 2013/14 and a tour in Argentina 2013. 6-Can you write any words of free speach to our people and fans around the world? Etzia pon di case reaching out to every city every state. Positive vybz me bring pon di riddim me sing. Stay solid, Etzia love you!
