Gensu Dean - Forever (feat. Large Professor)

SP1200 producer Gensu Dean and Cali-Microphone legend Planet Asia have released their new album Abrasions.  The hard hitting album is 17 tracks deep with no filler.  Featuring Grammy Award Winner David Banner as well as the Gold Chain Military, Tristate, Killa Kali, Shawn Pen, Twin Gambino, Tragedy Khadafi, and more, Abrasions is one of the hardest hitting new records of the year.

1-What are your feelings about the recent new great proyect "Abrasions"?

In my humble opinion, it's INCREDIBLE! I believe its my best work cohesive work to date.

2-Can you tell us about something of the history of the connection with Planet Asia?

I have always been up on Planet Asia and his work, he is dope! We sort of met through a good friend of mine (David Banner) but eventually connect via Face Book. We would trade emails but when it came time for me to start my 2nd album, I wanted to rock with him. So I sent him an email and BOOM!

4-What changes you see in the actual music about the digital media and the liberation of tracks via internet? What do you think about Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Ustream and other free media devices?

Music in general has charged drastically over the years, from the substance, to the method of recording to the sonic quality. One of the most notable changes is music is more accessible than it was years ago. You can create a song, record it, mix it, master it, and have it out for the world to hear all from your bed room, by lunch time! In some ways thats dope however; in others its whack. The many avenues for you music and/or ideas to be hurt are all dope in their own way. Such as the ones you mentioned (Bandcamp. SoundCloud etc).

5-Can you tell us about the experience meeting and creating music with Large Professor? Hip Hop lives... Right?

Meeting my man XP (Large Pro) was a honor & blessing. Since I was in high school I aspired to meet and be like all of the greats such as Large Pro, Pete Rock, Dj Premier, etc. It was and is a humbling experience to be able to call him "my brother". He is mega cool and just a genuine good dude, word. There are no adjectives to describe working with one of the best!

6-And the story behind DMC in your record "Lo-Fi Fingahz"?

My man Dj/Mc Oxygen had a radio show at Stoney Brook College in Long Island, NY called "Chemical Breakdown", which he was leaving the show. Dj Johnny Juice (Dj for Public Enemy) brought DMC up to the last show as a surprise for Ox. Well, when I called up there to give a shout out, DMC was there and was giving me & Ox props for the joint we did called "Gone Diggin". He (DMC) was bigging me up for my production skill and basically said I was dope and to keep doing my thing! Man, I was speechless. When I was cooking up a way to end the album, I thought of using that and it was perfect.

7-What music do you like or recommend of Mello Music Group?

All of it. Everyone that rocks with my label is dope, word!

8-What are your inspirations in the beginning of this 2013?

Just focused on dropping and pushing "Abrasions" and gearing up to do some touring, then working on a few more projects.

9-Maybe a 2013 tour in Argentina?

It would be my honor.

10-We invite Gensu Dean to write a few words to your fans in the world and fans in our program Moochila.

I just want to thank Moochia and everyone for your support, I truly appreciate each and every one of you. let's keep rocking and go get it! peace. GD
