"the Spirit Lives......."
William "BUNNY RUGS" Clark
February 6, 1948 - February 2, 2014
Rest In Peace our dear brother.

THIRD WORLD (Jamaica)

1-What do you think about the actual reggae/dancehall sound in Jamaica?

The music is getting bigger and bigger spreading all over the world, for us that's a major accomplishment, we love it in any style, Dancehall, Roots Rock, Lovers Rock, Ska, Rock Steady, Dub - its all different arrangements of vibrations. Music feeds the soul. Can you image a world without it?

2-And the urban reggae/dancehall sound in Africa?

Third World just got back from the Cape Town International Jazz festival and the sounds we heard out of African musicians and artistes was wonderful.

3-What changes you see in the actual music about the digital media and the liberation of tracks via internet?

We give thanks for technology so we can send out music and it reaches the world in seconds.
Social Media has changed the way the younger generation listens to music, infact it seems like they "watch" music whether it soundcloud, ustream, youtube et al.  My generation just goes with the flow of technology and tries to keep up to date. Its amazing.

4-Can you tell us about your new fantastic album PATRIOTS?

Patriots Mi Seh!' Although it took a few years to complete, Cat, Richie, Ruption and myself had so much fun doing this collaborative project.  It was a joy getting all the artists on board and working in the studio with them.  And the work was worth it.. Patriots is an excellent project that we all accomplished together.

5-How began the story about the connection with VP RECORDS?

This is the first album that Third World has distributed with VP and it has been a pleasure. The VP Records family been around for a long time in the Jamaica music business, so they know what they are doing, for Reggae right now "dem run tings"

6-What do you think about Haiti situation?

The Haiti situation, how much longer will my people suffer but the as the song goes, "The Spirit Lives - its living in the people and it will never, never, never, never , it will never die"  Out of Many we are One, the world must continue to pray for those in need.

7-What do you remember about recording with Marley Brothers, Junior Reid and Capleton?

Recording with Junior Reid and Capleton as well as everyone on the Patriots album, it was the same feeling I had when recording with Stevie Wonder and Kenny Gamble, it was a natural high. Working with Gregory (RIP), Marcia, Rose, Inner Circle and Toots was like being in the studio with my family. And the second generation Marleys.. it was history, I am proud of those boys, you know they Damian and Stephen are Third World's godchildren. And of course working with Tarrus Riley and Tessanne Chin was incredible, both have big long-lasting careers ahead of them. Every recording session was like a different chapter in the Patriots album book.  Like I said,  It was a Natural High!

8-What are your inspirations in the beginning of this 2012?

We are always inspired each year knowing that there are still new places for us to travel spreading the word of peace, love and world
unity through our music.

9-What artists and producers do you like? Maybe a 2012 tour in Argentina?

We look forward that one day soon we will perform in Argentina. I know Third World has so many Argentinian fans that would enjoy the Reggae vibes and your culture embraces the sounds and vibrations of Reggae music.  Nuff Respect to the irie Argentinian Reggae massive.

10-Can you write any words of free speach to our fans around the world?

As a Reggae band still on the road performing, Third World is extremely grateful to the fans for accepting our
music, accepting our culture and by giving us the opportunity to take our message of love and peace around the world, On behalf of Cat, Richie and myself, we  thank you all very much.
I am so lucky to be doing what I love.  Besides Patriots, I have a new solo project coming out this year called TIME.
I'm very happy where I am right now. It’s a great “TIME” for me.”
