Undeniable - Blue Bacon

Desde Corona Queens, NY, les presenamos a UNDENIABLE!

undeniable

1) Can you tell us something about the history of the group?

We have known each other for over a decade. We both are from Corona,Queens. We have mutual friends and mutual interests. We're family because of this & other reasons. This creates some great chemistry in music. We were solo artists working on our projects and had producers who we both were working with, so it was inevitable that we collaborated. In 2011 we linked up and recorded a song. That song led to a catalogue. It felt right that first recording. since then it's been UNDENIABLE

2) Can you describe the creative process of your new single "Strap Up". How was the connection with Napoleon Da Legend?

O7: The creative process for Strap Up was pretty simple.  Dubz Ducati sent us the beat. I listened to it & came up with the idea.  We had a conference call with Napoleon & the song was done within 2 weeks or so.

Sinnagi: Strap up is a beast. My verse on the record is not the first draft. After dropping my vocals the first time and hearing O7 and Napoleon's monstrous verses and how they dug deep into the subject matter, I rewrote my verse. It was necessary. One would assume it would have been about the usual shoot 'em up,bang bang collaboration. The message is powerful, moving through the thought process as to why someone would take action in a critical situation.

3) What about your new EP "BlackMarket Artists"? We love that NY sound!

O7: Black Market Artists was our 1st EP. It was to be a precursor to our 1st full length album "A Picture's Worth". We decided to push that album back & released "5 Finger Discount" (our FREE mixtape series) instead. "BMA" features production from J Stylez, Mindz over Matter, See Tru, Kon Boogie & Flub.

Sinnagi: We appreciate the love. We are glad you enjoy the sound. That is why we named the project Black Market Artists. The artwork is not what is readily available on the commercial platform. If you are searching for that NY gritty, yet versatile sound, enter the Black Market where you'll find what you were searching fora, and then some.

4) What music do you recommend from Corona, Queens?

We would strongly recommend you do research on artists such as K.O.N Boogie, Uppanotch, Big Dollah Sho, Nutso, Consep, Creature, Gab Gotcha, Trujillo, Mel Supreme. You will not be disappointed.

5)What do you feel about Kool G Rap, Styles P, The Beatnuts and other greats artists from your city?

O7: The artists you mentioned are legends &  important to recognize.  They have made important contributions to the genre & culture. They have given the world some great insight about where we live & our way of life. They definitely influenced us & our music. We can honestly say without any bias that Queens has produced some of the greatest Hip Hop artists.

Sinnagi: All those artists aforementioned paved the way for many.Their music definitely had an impact on how we appreciate and create music. It is our duty to carry on tradition.

6) What are the next steps for UNDENIABLE? New Music?

O7: We also have some new additions to our Undeniable Lifestyle Apparel we'll be releasing along with a few surprises. Stay tuned by visiting www.undeniablemusic.com

Sinnagi: We have a new project slated to be released entitled Knuckle Sandwich. It is more aggressive than what we have put out in the past.We are versatile as artists and want to give the people something they can release some energy to.We have some new visuals in the works to further give the people a better handle on what Undeniable is bringing to the table.

7) Do you listen latin hip-hop?

We love Hip Hop music period. Although we know some incredible artists that call themselves Latin Hip Hop artists (Calle Cardona, Nutso, Cali Rp, Gab Gotcha..) We choose to keep Hip Hop "whole". What we mean is that wherever you are in the world, Hip Hop is Hip Hop! There is no French Hip Hop or African Hip Hop. There is no Australian Hip Hop & no Alaskan Hip Hop.  Latin is a language that very few people even speak today so the title "Latin Hip Hop" doesn't really apply. There is nothing in the world that has brought people together the way Hip Hop has. It is universal. So we don't divide Hip Hop into any smaller categories. If you make great Hip Hop music or any music for that matter,  it will be respected & loved.

8) What do you think about the NY sound right now?

O7: NY has been going through a lot changes over the last few years. On the surface it seems like the music coming out of NYC isn't even from here. However,  if you take a good look you'll find some quality Hip Hop being created by several Artists in NYC.

Sinnagi: The soundscape has changed over the last couple of years. You will hear more trap sounding records being played on the radio. The classic NY sound still exists and there are gems that are out there. There are many artists from NY that make music that definitely has that NY feel, You just have to be you're own DJ and stockpile your playlist.

9) What do you think about the independent music? It's a good way for the music right now?

Sinnagi: Every artist, for the most part, is independent. Its the best way to go now that the record companies are not what they were a few years back. Artists have the power to create, market and establish a fan base on their own terms.

O7: As far as we're concerned indie IS the way to go.

10) There is a funny question: What do you have in your backpack (it means Moochila here).

Sinnagi: Laptop, Ipod, Undeniable Lifestyle Apparel!
O7: Funny story... These days... Diapers, toys, a BIG boy cup & Undeniable Lifestyle Apparel!
